Stays putWind-Rated Caps & Chase Covers
Heavy-gauge stainless caps and welded chase covers, fastened so the next Santa Ana doesn't take them.
- Stainless and powder-coated caps
- Custom chase covers
- Spark arrestor mesh
When the Santa Anas come roaring out of the Cajon Pass, chimneys across the valley take the hit. Caps fly off, chase tops peel back, and loose brick comes down onto tile roofs. Add 100-degree summers baking the stucco, plus old river rock chimneys up in Alta Loma and Etiwanda, and you've got a valley with its own set of chimney problems. Our Ontario crew handles all of it, any hour of the day.

Screwed-on caps loosen over the years, then one big gust sends them into the pool or the neighbor's lot.
Thin sheet-metal chase covers lift at the edges, letting dust, birds and the next rain inside.
Brick already weakened by heat and age can shift or drop, often onto clay tiles.
Flying debris cracks tiles near the chimney, and the first winter rain finds the gap.
Stucco tracts in Eastvale, river rock in Alta Loma, ranch homes in Upland. Each one gets the right fix.

After stormsLoose or fallen brick rebuilt, crowns replaced, and emergency tarps set the same day after a big wind event.

Round the clockDust-controlled sweeps, camera inspections for home sales, and a crew on call 24 hours a day.
Our Ontario shop is minutes from the 10, 15 and 60, so most of the valley is a quick drive. Pick your city.
Drive times are estimates from 1911 S Proforma Ave. Freeway traffic on the 10 and 15 varies a lot, so we confirm on the call.
Older homes on the alluvial slopes of Alta Loma and Etiwanda were often built with rounded cobbles from the washes. They're beautiful, and they fail in their own way.
Round cobbles rely almost entirely on mortar to stay put, so worn joints mean loose rock.
Wide mortar gaps crack and wash out faster than tight brick joints do.
Gray patches on warm, sandy mortar stick out. We tint and texture to blend.
Stone stacks are heavy, so we check the crown, ties and flue for safety as well as looks.
Santa Ana events usually pick up in fall. A quick check beforehand saves a lot of storm calls later.
Check fasteners and corrosion. Old screws in rusted collars are the first to fail.
Lifted edges or rust holes need fixing before wind gets under them.
Cracked crowns or loose brick should be repaired before a gust finishes the job.
Dry winds plus embers is a bad mix. A mesh screen keeps sparks in the flue.

We answer 24/7. If bricks or a cap are hanging loose, we'll talk you through keeping people clear and come as soon as it's safe to work on the roof. For fire or a gas smell, call 911 first.
It's better to wait. Without a cap, rain, birds and debris get in, and there's no spark screen to hold embers. We can usually fit a new, stronger cap quickly.
Heavier stainless, a snug fit and more secure fastening to the flue or crown. On chases we prefer welded, sloped covers over thin pans that can lift.
Yes. We reset loose cobbles, repoint the joints with mortar tinted to match, and check the crown and flue so it's safe as well as good-looking.
Heat cycling, settling and old wind damage all crack stucco. Small cracks let water reach the framing behind, so sealing them early matters.
Yes. We know how to walk and lift tile without breaking it, and we redo flashing so it laps properly with the tile.
